ACERCA DE NOSOTROS<\/h2>\n

El Estudio sobre el Cerebro Sano y el Desarrollo Infantil (HEALthy Brain and Child Development<\/em>, HBCD) en Northwestern University tiene m\u00e1s de dos d\u00e9cadas de experiencia en investigaciones con beb\u00e9s, ni\u00f1os, embarazadas y familias con variadas experiencias de vida. El enfoque de nuestro equipo al momento de investigar es \u201c\u00a1las familias primero!\u201d. Nuestra meta es que las familias del estudio tengan siempre una experiencia significativa, c\u00f3moda y placentera. Cada vez que una familia llega a una visita del estudio HBCD, esperamos que \u201caprendan junto con nosotros\u201d sobre lo que hace \u00fanico a su hijo y c\u00f3mo avanza su desarrollo. Nuestros consultorios de desarrollo infantil en Michigan Avenue est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados espec\u00edficamente para familias y ni\u00f1os peque\u00f1os. Nuestro sal\u00f3n familiar est\u00e1 lleno de libros y juguetes, y tiene vista al lago. Tambi\u00e9n tenemos una sala de lactancia y bienestar, \u00e1reas de juego, y salas c\u00f3modas y luminosas donde las familias completan las diferentes partes del estudio HBCD. Nos encanta aprender sobre el desarrollo infantil y somos expertos en estudiar la manera en que varios factores afectan el desarrollo \u00fanico de cada ni\u00f1o, como su cerebro, su comportamiento, el contexto en el que vive y las cosas que le importan a su familia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

\nTenemos un equipo grande y diverso. Las l\u00edderes del equipo de HBCD son la Dra. Laurie Wakschlag (psic\u00f3loga cl\u00ednica de desarrollo) y la Dra. Elizabeth Norton (neurocient\u00edfica cognitiva del desarrollo), junto con la Dra. Renee Edwards (investigadora de trabajo social), quien es la directora del proyecto cient\u00edfico. Adem\u00e1s, nuestro equipo de investigaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 conformado por personas con diferentes or\u00edgenes, experiencias, comunidades y \u00e1reas de experiencia. Incluye expertos cient\u00edficos de diversa \u00edndole, como expertos en \u00e9tica, participaci\u00f3n comunitaria, entorno familiar, la experiencia del embarazo y c\u00f3mo influye en el desarrollo infantil, y el rol del desarrollo del cerebro y del comportamiento en la forma en que los ni\u00f1os aprenden, juegan, enfrentan desaf\u00edos e interact\u00faan con su mundo social. \u00a1En el estudio HBCD de Northwestern nos entusiasma mucho recibirlos y darles la bienvenida para que sean parte de nuestra familia de HBCD!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
